Eligibility Criteria

Particular Description
Nationality The candidate must be an Indian National.
The candidate must be registered with the State CET cell, Mumbai, through an online application on the website of the State CET Cell.
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Candidate will be eligible for Government / Corporation / Government Aided / Private unaided college for 2021-22 only. Provided such candidates have passed 10th & 12th from the State of Maharashtra and should be in a domicile of Maharashtra or staying in a state of Maharashtra for a minimum period of 10 years.
Eligibility for Institutional Quota (For Courses other than MBBS and BDS Course) Any eligible candidates on An India basis can be admitted, including non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), as well as Outside Maharashtra candidates (OMS) who had appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and were declared eligible for admission to undergraduate Medical and Dental courses, by inter-se-merit amongst candidates who apply for institutional quota seats. The Competent Authority will fill these seats through CAP. If remaining vacant after all CAP rounds, such seats will be surrendered to the respective institute for an institutional-level round.
Eligiblity for Institutional Quota (For Courses other than MBBS and BDS Course) Any eligible candidates on An India basis can be admitted, including non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), as well as Outside Maharashtra candidates (OMS) who had appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and were declared eligible for admission to undergraduate Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics and B.Sc Nursing Courses, by inter-se-merit amongst candidates who apply for institutional quota seats. Respective institutes will fill these seats by calling applications at the individual institutions from all eligible candidates registered with the State CET cell.
Domicile of Candidate The Candidates must be Domicile of Maharashtra (Except candidates under clauses 4.1.3, 4.1.4, 4.7, 4.8, Annexures C and E). The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 2009 to be eligible for all Health Science Courses. The Birth certificate indicating the candidate’s name, Secondary School Certificate, i.e. SSC or equivalent examination certificate or School Leaving Certificate endorsing the date of birth, will constitute valid proof.

After receiving a seat in Maharashtra NEET counselling 2026, candidates will undergo document verification at the medical/dental colleges they have been assigned. The following documents are required for verification

  • NEET admit card 2026

  • Copy of Maharashtra MBBS application form

  • NEET 2026 result

  • Nationality certificate/Indian Passport

  • Domicile certificate

  • Higher secondary school certificate

  • Secondary school certificate

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Medical fitness certificate

  • PwD certificate, if required

  • Caste certificate, if applicable

  • Non-creamy layer certificate, if asked

  • Any other certificate/document asked by the authority

  • Visit the official website of the CET cell.
  • Click on “Apply Online for NEET-UG 2026”
  • Click on the application form link.
  • Read the instructions carefully before proceeding to fill out the application.
  • Fill in all the entries in the application form.
  • Read the conditions under the “Declaration by the Candidate” before agreeing.
  • Set a password for the account
  • Check the entries filled in the application before applying.
  • Pay the application processing fee to submit the application
  • Upload the requisite documents
  • Save a copy of the filled application form for future reference.
