The Institute of Medicine (IOM), Tribhuvan University, is Nepal's premier government medical school established in 1972, with its main campus at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. As a constituent campus of Nepal's largest public university, IOM is the gold standard in Nepalese medical education. It operates multiple teaching hospitals including Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH). IOM offers the most affordable MBBS fees in Nepal and produces the majority of Nepal's doctors.
